Quality of life is an issue which has drawn the attention of scholars, politicians and the general public since ancient times. Along with the development of social indicator research after the 1960s, life satisfaction became one of the main assessments in measuring one's quality of life. Against the background of ageing in the European scale, the household has become a significant dimension for older people.
