Description

Summary of Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton

In  her youth, Dolly's  experiences  were not punctuated  by the
familiar sounds of sibling laughter or the thrill of outdoor adventures. Instead, she was a child of the internet age.  Dolly's hometown was  Stanmore, a  unique suburb of  North  London that wasn't quite a city or country. She painted a picture of its monotony, where houses,   vehicles,   and even the women seemed indistinguishable from each other.
However, Dolly's saving grace was her best friend, Farly. The
duo's bond began at the age of eleven,  and   despite   their contrasting   personalities,   they    complemented    each   other seamlessly.
Childhood  for  Dolly was  often marked  by feelings  of  loneliness  and bored and boredom, but that  all  changed  with the  advent of AOL's  dial-up  connection. With  it came  the  MSN  Instant Messenger,  a platform that became Dolly's refuge.
It  served as a tool  to  connect with  not  only her close  friends but also  acquaintances  and  students  from neighboring  schools. Even during   vacations,   Dolly  was   tethered   to   this   virtual   world, dedicating hours  to  MSN.  It  was,  as  she  would  put  it, "her sanctuary".
